It never ceases to amaze me at how much you do! It is easy these days to be discouraged and feel a lack of hope. But when I really take a look around, what I see is amazing sisters helping, serving, and lifting one another. We are in great shape in Zion because we have the wonderful women in the gospel. Our communities are better, our church family is better, and our homes are better.
The strength of women has been a constant throughout the history of the world. Beginning with Eve and the other many wonderful women of the old and new testament times we have been taught by faith what it means to have hope, love, and peace in troubling times. Who could ever forget what Emma did and went through. And here in our ward we have countless examples of faith, endurance, kindness, and endless service. I am richly blessed to learn from your examples.
If right now you are feeling a little down and out or maybe the distancing needed to keep yourself or loved ones safe at this time has you feeling distanced emotionally, I urge you to look up and look outward. Make the effort to send a message of hope or love to someone else and you'll find that same hope and love fill your heart.
We are the Lord's hands to lift burdens. When he says, Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me... this is what he is talking about. We find that rest as we learn from Him. And we learn from Him by doing as He would do.
I share my testimony that through loving others and service (which is what you sisters do best!) We will find Hope in Christ through troubling and lonely times.
We love and pray for you always!
